The following Chief's signed their names to this new Treaty on Aug. 1, 1796 in Bangor, Maine.
Indian Chiefs Joseph ORONO, Squire OSSON, Nictum BAWIT, Joseph PEASE, Wiaro NUGGASSET and Sabatis NEPTUNE.
I wonder if Sabatis (Sabattis) Neptune was John Neptune's father if he was serving as a Chief in 1796. See my previous message about John Neptune marrying at age 87 in Bangor.
