Penobscot - Passamaquoddy marriage Eastport, ME 1818

From a marriage record of Eastport, Washington Co., ME comes the following info:
1818 (no month given) Peal MITCHELL of Old Town, ME a grandson to the Governor of the tribe of ATTEAN, married Sally AUSELMEN of Pleasant Pt. grand daughter to the Governor of the tribe JOSEPH.

This is interesting to me, because my family were reportedly Passamaquoddy and the name Joseph runs heavily in my family and my 4th grt. grandmother Hannah MITCHELL was said to have Passamaquoddy and Mi'kmaq Indian.
