John Neptune marries at age 87 in Bangor, ME - 1852

From the old newspaper The Bangor Whig was the following marriage announcement from 1852 ~ John Neptune (Indian Governor of the Penobscots) married at Bangor, ME to Miss Mary Paul SOOSUP (or Joseph), on Nov. 20th, 1852. He was age 87 and she was age 73.

If his age was correct in 1852 that means he was born arounc c1765 and I do believe he was the "Old John Neptune" that Fannie Hardy Eckstorm wrote her book about back in the 1940's.
"Old John Neptune and Other Maine Indian Shamans". Very good book for anyone who is related to the Penobscot and Passamaquoddy as I am.
