I was reading (with great interest) the information you have shared regarding Conrad Wable/Wabel and Andrew Jackson Wabel/Wable. I am a descendant of Jeremiah (aka Jerimia)Wable, a son of Conrad and brother of Andrew Jackson.
My question: You mentioned 6 children (I noticed 8 names)...
You wrote: On August 11, 1850, Andrew J. married Mary Ann Dean, the daughter of John and Sarah Jane Hamilton Dean, at Farmington, Pennsylvania. During the first year of their marriage they lived in the old Rush House on the National Pike, Pennsylvania. In 1851 he stopped driving stagecoaches and worked as a stone and brick mason, helping to build the old Methodist Sansom Chapel on the old Pike near Ohiopyle, Pennsylvania. ****His six older children, (1)James H. Their "last names" are: May and March. Sorry I am not understanding that the children's last name are not "Wable/Wabel".........were these "not" Andrew's biological children????
Thanks for all this delightful information! I am working on our line (Jeremiah) and loved reading the information on Conrad. Interestingly, my father is currently residing in Addision PA along the Old National Pike!!!
