Hi there everyone,
I'm looking for anyone who might be connected with Mary WABY, wife of my gg-g'father, Stephen Robert FOOTE.
Mary WABY b. 10 SEP 1843 Ruskington, LINCS. England.
Father - Thomas WABY b c1796 Ruskington bur. 18 NOV 1869 Ruskington
Mother - Mary COOLING bap. 12 APR 1811 Weston, LINCS. England bur. 30 NOV 1867 Ruskington.
Mary WABY's siblings [in order of birth] - Elizabeth [Mrs. Jabez HAND], William [wife - Elizabeth], [then Mary], Ann [Mrs. Henry BRIERLEY], Sarah [possibly also a Mrs. HAND] & Thomas [wife - Annie].
Stephen & Mary FOOTE came to Australia in 1874; both dying in New South Wales. One of their g'daughters, Miss Dorothy FOOTE [of Brisbane, QLD], wrote a few entries into her Diary in the 1940's - stating that she had sent mail to, or had received mail from, WABY. She recorded no Christian Names; nor did she state where these WABY's were.
It is these WABY's, who I'm trying to track down [or their descendants]. If anyone is able to help me - I'd very much appreciate it. Thanks & best wishes,
