Jim, Sounds like you're chasing the Alfred Andrew Wacaster who was born in 1818, the Grandfather of Alfred Andrew Wacaster who was born in 1867. As it happens, I am the Grandson of Alfred Andrew Wacaster (b. Jun 6, 1867). He married Roxie Stovall in 1891 and one of their daughters, Ruby Claudine Wacaster, married Caesar Sarafino Marmo (my father). You'll also find it interesting to know that Alfred Andrew's parents were John Thomas Wacaster (the third one with that name, not Sr. or Jr.) and Caroline Millaway. John Thomas died in 1916 and Caroline (his first wife) in 1903. It is believed that John Thomas' second wife (Belle Colbert) murdered John Thomas and I have strong circumstancial evidence to support this theory, though it could never be proven in a court of law. However, it would likely prevail in civil court where all you require is a preponderance of the evidence. Some of the info you've posted, as well as some of the responses, sound a little confused. Not surprising, because trying to track the Wacasters is a confusing proposition. This is due in large part to various people putting information on the internet at various genealogical sites and representing the data as totally accurate, when the reality of it is that it's problematic at best and totally wrong at worst. The ultimate insult is that once it's on the net, it might as well be set in cement. Try correcting errors you find and you'll see what I mean. Depending on where you look, I range all the way from non-existant to unknown to improperly identified. The only way I'll ever get that merged into a single person (me) would be for the internet to simply start over from scratch...and that ain't gonna happen. Drop me an email and I'll see what I can do to straighten you out. Along the way, maybe you can straighten out some of the confusion I have. You've already got me curious, because I've never heard of Lucretia Born. Richard Marmo Notify Administrator about this message?
