Teri, I believe you are correct about me skipping a generation now that I am really look at the dates. However, there evidently was more than one Pansy Mathias and that it where I got confused while trying to work forward from Martha Davis. I have the following information from which I have been working, and evidently it is sadly incomplete as I did not even have the child John Everett Skinner listed. Martha Davis married John Alexander Mathias (the s/o John B. Matthias and Martha Everett). He was a Sgt. in comp. K in the 6th Fla. Reg. He was b. 5 Nov. 1840 and died 30 Sept. 1917.He buried in New Orange Hill Cem. That is between Chipley and Wausau, and near where Emaline Davis and Ransom Peel lived. Martha died 6 Feb. 1912. She also is buried in New Orange Hill Cem. I have 31 April 1883 Washington County, FL as Martha and John's marriage date, and I know that they had at least 5 children. Roy, Inez, Ginnie Abigail, who married Thomas D. Nobles, Marvel, and Pansy. I also found a marriage record for a Roy Mathias and Bonita Tharpe, however if this is Roy was the s/o John A. and Martha then this may have been a second marriage. If you will help me work forward from John A. and Martha Davis Mathias I will gladly help you work backwards with the Davises, etc. I also realize that some of these people are probably still living, and I would never expect you to compromise anyone. I am only interested in learning as much as I possibly can about Martha Davis Mathias' life and family. I will not be on line again until later tonight, but you may also e-mail me direct at: donnisrae@webtv.net or post here. Thank you! Notify Administrator about this message?
