i am very glad to get some respons. i don't know where christian waechter settled in america. when i wrote my message in 10/2000 i hoped to find anybody looking for informations in america. maybe there are imigrations lists and so on. for me (from germany) it is difficult to get these informations, too. the only indication for me is a document of his son franz waechter (mason from sachsgrün/saxony, he died on may 17, 1909 nearby in hof/bavaria, in the age of 53). according to this document from 1909 he was the son of the carpenter johann georg christian waechter and his deceased wife christiane johanna sophia, resident in manchester, northern america. i do not know if they take a child with them or get a child after their arrival in america. what we can do to get more informations?
