John Casper Wacker (Wecker] (Waecker)"In german I think the name was spelled Wacker with and umlot over the a.
He was an orphan born in Unterhallau, Canton of Schaffhausem, Switzerland. He was educated by a mission society at Buch and Beuggen, in his native land, and came to America as a youth. From the cabin at Twelve Mile Bluff, Wisconsin he moved to a claim in sections 19 and 20, Township 21, Range 12, four miles below Alma, Wisconsin between the bluffs and the slough. In 1853 he married Sabina Keller. He lived on his first farm until 1872, and then moved a mile nearer Alma, Wisconsin. In 1879 he moved to Ada, Norman County, Minnesota, where he died in 1885.
Any one having more information about John Wecker please let me know by E-Mail. Thanks, John
