James Waddell - Scotland

I am looking for a James Waddell who was a Lieutenant in the French Army and born in Scotland. He married Blanch Estelle Prudhomme de Fontenoy who was a french Aristocrat. I dont know any of the dates except that they gave birth to Mary Juliette Waddell on the 22nd March 1903 in Singapore. They left the baby in Singapore when they were informed that the child was certainly going to die. It didnt, and know its grandchildren would like to track down the family.

Any help would be appreciated.
