Thank you so much for this information and I have an news paper interview with "Chick" Sutherlin on her 100th birthday 1983 and she speaks of he Uncle Henry and of her father serving in the Civil War, my Grandmother was infallibility about spelling Waddill, with an "i", I am going to try to get to the Court House next week and see if I can locate where, John and Charles lived, I do know that Charles Marshall lived on River Road (old road form Halifax to Danville) just
inside the Halifax Co. line, this is where he is buried along with his wife and some of his children. Hope to get back with you after I go to Halifax, however we are having a wedding next Sat. so it may be two weeks before I can get there, it is only 1 mile, so maybe I can get away for a little while. Thanks again and if I find the home pleace, I will let you know, Charles Marshall who married Harriette Wilson lived in the "Wilson" home place. Thanks Kitty
