Dock Waddell
Woodruff, S.C.
Dock Waddell ,85, of Woodruff Route 3, died at his home Friday morning after a long illness.
A native of Spartanburg County,he was son of the late Sam and Catherine Godfrey Waddell. He was a retired textile worker and a charter memeber of Selma Baptist Church.
Surviving are: six daughters, Mrs. Kate Thackston of Fountain Inn, Miss Ruth Waddell, Mrs. Sallie Hunter, Mrs.Allan Morgan,all of Woodruff Route 3, Mrs. Minnie Lancaster of Woodruff Route 1, Mrs. Loree Easler of Woodruff Route 2, two sons, Hampton and Sam Waddell of Woodruff. 37 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 3p.m. at the Selma Baptist Church by the Rev.Carlos Watson,Hobert Hunter and John Turner. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Grandsons will be the pallbearers. The body will be at the home after 3p.m. today.
