Obit for Waddell, Freeman Bankston, b. 16 Sept 1916, passed away 26 Jul 2001 in Laguana Hills, Ca. An alumnus of & former basketball player for Mississippi College, he resided in California, meeting his wife, and raising his family following the war. Freeman was a veteran and retired from civil service in 1970 to care for his wife, a sufferer of multiple scleroisis. He was an avid golfer, and gardener. His wife, Helen Naomi Waddell, preceded him in death. He is survived by two sons Edward F. & Giner of Aliso Viejo, Ca. and Gregory L & wife Diane of Olathe, Ks. Two Grandchilren, Robert & Wendy of Olathe, and two sisters Francis Howle and Anna Lois Bounds of Union, Ms. Memorial services will be held at East Lawn Mortuary, Sacramento, Ca. on Wednesday, 1 Aug 2001.
