Waddell Family Name and my newly found grandmother

Hello Waddell Forum,

I have just discovered a distant grandmother named Elizabeth Martha Waddell. She married Rev. John Barlow, who was born in 1740 in Virginia and died in 1820 in Kentucky. I have no information about Elizabeth. Do you have any? ALSO where does the name "Waddell" have its origins? Thank you all for your help!
