My great-grandmother was Ida Adelle Waddell. She was born in 1894 in Nebraska. She was the youngest of 8 children born to Albert Waddell and Evalyn Pierce, both of whom were born in New York. All we know about Albert is that he had a brother Hugh. And, we know that Evalyn's mother was named Lydia and also born in New York in the early 1800s. Albert came from New York with his family to Nebraska via Illinois given birthplaces of Grandma Ida's siblings.
Ida married Franz Blado (born in Lincoln of German immigrant parents) and they had 4 children, Reginald, Helen, Junior (my grandfather) and Rex Lee. They moved to California just before Junior was born in 1919. Ida died there in 1967.
I would love to have any information you can share and please let me know about reunions. We are hoping to visit Nebraska with our boys soon on a family history trip.
