The stats quoted in this message appear to be for James Alfred Waddell/Waddle who married first Rachel McDonald, second he married Elizabeth (Betsey) Crouch. James A and Elizabeth had a son, my ancestor Harrison Waddle. Harrison married several times and in the last two marriage records names his mother as Elizabeth Crouch, not Elizabeth Munday.
This mistake is repeated over and over in the on line trees coming from Helen Olson of California.
There is a James Waddle who married Elizebth Munday, however the people who died in Decatur Indiana are not this couple!
Harrison Waddle's parents died in Clinton, Decatur Indiana James died 28 Dec 1843, and Elizabeth died May 1850. I have a copy of Harrison's marriage records indicating his mother was Betsy Crouch. Betsey Crouch is the daughter of John Crouch Jr. and Sarah Nelson, the niece of David Crouch and Elizabeth Cassidy, just google David Crouch. After James Waddle died his widow made a trip to Nicholas County KY, possibly to visit her mother Sarah who was living with her Uncle David Crouch at the time 1843.
She may have also visited her step-son Isaac's widow Sarah Burns and her children.
