Thomas Wilson Waddell - Des Moines?

I'm still trying to trace the roots of my Grandfather, Thomas Wilson Waddell. A family member tells me he was born in Monmouth Illinois on Sep 4, 1890, but I found a little evidence on the Internet that he may have been born in Huron Township, Des Moines County, Iowa on Sep 3, 1890. Unless these are two different people (seems unlikely, huh?).

I'm trying to find out which is correct. If anyone has any additional information, I'd be very grateful.

This information led me to his parents: Alfred Bain Waddell and Clara McIntire. Clara's parents would be James McIntire and Angeline Morris.

Finally, Alfred Bain Waddell's parents would be John D Waddell (Waddle) and Margaret Bain, married May 7 1846, also in Des Moines County.
