After reading most of the Waddell postings at this site, I've come to the realization that there must be 2 Seth Waddells.
One is the Seth Quee Waddell born in 1767 in Horsham Montgomery Co Pa who married a Mary Burdino in Pendleton SC. This Seth Quee Waddell shows up on the 1850 Census in Tennessee.
Our Seth Waddell (middle initial unknown) also shows up in the 1850 census, but in Cherokee Co, AL. Which makes sense because I am very sure about his two daughters, Sarah Abigail Waddell born 1853 in Morgan Co AL and Mary "Molly" C. Waddell. These two daughters married a pair of Slaton/Slaten brothers; Sarah to Williamson Cobb Slaten and Molly to his brother, Wade Hampton Slaten (I have info on this line back to 1719 in Hanover VA)
Further I have found a land record for a Seth Waddell showing that he purchased 142 acres in 1845 in AL.
The most frustrating thing for me at the moment is that I can't locate where I got the information that Sarah and Molly's parents were Seth Waddell and Elizabeth Robinson.
Could you please email me and let me know what your source for their marriage information is?
