Not my research but here goes.
First home of Rev. James Waddell "The Blind Preacher" was in Lancaster Co. VA. He married Mary Gordon, Daughter of James Gordon and Mary Harrison.
Mary Gordon was b. July 17, 1752, married to James Waddell Oct. 7, 1767. James Waddell's parents were Thomas Waddell and Janet____.
James moved to the Augusta Co VA area as the Rev. War was starting. He took charge of Tinkling Springs Church. Purchased "Springhill" from James P. Cocke. Died in 1805.
Children: Nathaniel, James G., Elizabeth, Janetta, Ann, Sarah, Littleton.
