Sir Henry Waddington was knighted 16 March 1662. He was high Sherrif of Galway Ireland. In a report dated 5 October 1690 he is reported as providing iron from Scariff which lies on the Shannon below Killiloe and nine miles from Limerick. He had a son Captain Henry Waddington who is recorded as raising a troop of militia in Galway in 1659 or 1660.
