Hello Patrick,

Thanks for your info but I don't think any of it relates to my direct family. My Great Grandfather James born in 1882 in York was the youngest of 8 children ( census records confirm this) and all were born in York. James' father was Francis Waddington b.1831 in York and his mother was Amelia Charlotte Musgrave b.1841 in Leeds. I am fairly certain of all of this both from family memories and census and BMD info. What I am really interested in is Waddington's living in the Clitheroe area (Bolton By Bowland and Waddington village) round about 1790. I am trying to find out if my Great Great Great Grandfather Thomas Waddington was from that area, certainly his eldest son William was born there in around 1816.Does your book have any info on a Thomas Waddington born in 1787 in Bolton By Bowland or a Thomas Waddington born 1793 in the same village.

I am grateful for your help.

Vicky
