There were Two James Waddle, this James H Waddle who married Elizabeth Munday and my James Alfred Waddle who married first Rachael McDonald, they had 10 kids. When she died James A married Eliabeth "Betsy" Crouch daughter of John Crouch Jr. and Sarah Nelson.
These two men are very mixed up in the online trees.
Juanita Schnieder did a lot of research on our James and she and others in our branch assumed the information was correct including me.
Elizabeth Crouch-Waddle's son, Harrison is my 3rd great grandfather. He married 4 times. The last two times it was in the late 1890's and then 1901. By then they were asking for the mother's maiden name. I have a marriage list from Marshall Co Indiana where he states once his mother was Eliabeth Krouse (sic) and the second time Betsy Crouch.
Please correct your records, the kids James A had with his first wife and second wife don't even come close to matching names with the children Jodie has documented as belonging to Elizabeth Munday and James H Waddle?
So strike the Crouch name when referring to James H, I don't believe it would be a real stretch to say two James Waddles married two different Elizabeth Crouchs?
So there you have it, anyone who wants a copy of the marriage list I referred to email me, I will be glad to send it.
