George Waddle was born in Va and he is in Sullivan County in the early 1800's. He enlisted in the 1812 war and was captured at Fort Niagara on December 19th 1813. He was injured in his left hip. He assisted in the burning of Fort George. His wife was Annis ?. Some think her maiden name might be Woods. No proof of that. His children are: Sarah,Mary,Susannah,George,John,Sampson,Delilah,Matilda,Harriet,Amanda,Annis. They lived in Grainger County after george was released from the British, He moved to Puliski County KY, and then move to Macon County,Mo in 1844. He died in 1849 in Macon County,Mo. There was a Jacob Waddle in the same unit and he was killed when they were captured. I feel that Jacob and George were related but have not been able to prove it. Hopefully someone can help on that.
