Bobb~ Hi! Sorry for the slow response, been working alot and not much computer time. My William B. Waddle (Waddell) b. b. 16 Jun 1774 d. bef. Nov 1810 m. Mary "Polly" Gilkeson (Gilkerson/Waddell/Waddle) I know nothing about William's family. But would love to find them also. By 1810, William has died, and the Family has moved to Mercer Co. Kentucky. On Nov. 4,1810, the boys have a step father, Cornelius Demaree. The boys will loose thier Mother within the next few years. Cornelius Demaree's Family came to America prior to 1675. Cornelius G.G.G. Grandfather was Lord Desmaret of Cambray France. The Family escaped religious persecution in France by moveing to the Rhine river, then to the Dutch colony of New Amsterdam in 1663. They later moved to Hackensack New Jersey. I have found that the Gilkeson Family and Demaree family belonged to the Dutch Reformed church of Schraalenburgh. I would guess that the Waddle's also belonged to this church. I found the families moved together, first from Va. then to Mercer Co. Kentucky, and then to Park Co. Indiana. Sorry I couldn't help....Jodie Notify Administrator about this message?
