This is an experience for me. I never knew there were so many Waddys in the DC area. In addition to me there is my brother and his daughter, my father and uncle, and my uncle's two daughters. My grandfather, Joseph T. Waddy, recently passed this summer and was buried at Quantico. I have been in contact through this site with at least 3 people who have ended up releated to me in some fashion. Someone should organize an outing this coming summer for all the Waddys to gather and socialize. My ultimate goal one day is to trace us all the way back to slavery.
