Would like info on a watercolor painting I have of Louise Waddy. On the back of the picture it has the name Vaiden
(who was the artist and signed the picture), her name, the date of 1897, all written in beautiful script. Then it has printed framed by Jo Wheaton & Co., 327 Main St., Memphis. then in pencil somebody wrote 18 Cossett Place. She is about 18-21 years old, caucasion, a real beauty. She has her hair up and pinned with a flower and looks like she is going to a party.( Head and neck) I have had Louise over 8 years, in her original frame, and would like to know something about her or whoever Vaiden was. I believe it to be a watercolor, it's not oil, don't think it is chalk, it does have old glass over it.
Who is Louise?
