I haven't a clue if there is a connection between your family and mine, but what struck me about the message I am responding to is that you are from the Paterson, NJ area. If I remember correctly, that's relatively near Hackensack, NJ. My grandmother, Willene Eaton (nee Waddy) moved there when she married my grandfather, Charles. I'm wondering if we have any relatives in common. If you know a good way of possibly investigating this, please let me know.
