Because of names of children of my ancestor James A. Wade b abt. 1820 m Mary Elizabeth (Thompson) in 1840 in Greene Co., GA, I have believed that we are connected to this family, perhaps my James A was son of James, brother to your John B. My James A. named a daughter, Mildred; oldest son John Cyrus, and the 2nd son James. There have been numerous preachers in that family.
I have tried to determine whether Rev. John B's brother James b bet 1790-1800 could have been the one in Greene Co., GA in the 1840 census: James Wade in 1840, as of June 1st, census: males 1 0-5; 1 10-15; 1 50-60. Females 1 10-15; 30-40. There was also a Roda Wade 40-50 living alone.
The family of my James A., said that his father was a Methodist preacher. See info below. Hope you can give me some input as to where in GA this family initially migrated. My family settled in Talbot Co., GA, but James A apparently moved to Bartow Co., GA bef.1880.

A grandaughter of John Cyrus (son of James A. b 1820), Annie Spinks, told her grandchildren that her grandfather or great gf was a Methodist minister. Rev. John B. Wade was a Methodist minister, as was his father.
