Bruce, so that you know. I retired to Alma, GA, and there is a very large group of Wade's here who descend from the Edward Wade, RS, d Greene Co., GA. I believe that we are probably kin. These Wade's appear to be very interested in Wade genealogy for their family. These are some notes from William Franklin Wade whom I have as dying in White Hall, Grimes Co., TX, but no death date: "There was in the 1840 census of Talbot Co., GA, "W. Wade" 20-30; females 1 15-20, & 1 40-50; if the latter is this William, he could have had a previous marriage, and the older female was his widowed mother (perhaps). "William & Eliza Wade and son John were in the 1850 census of Talbot Co., GA "Information came by email on March 5, 2006 from Robbin Wheat (rwheat@comcast.net) relative to where this couple died. She provided the names of the children and some grandchildren and some of the spouses." Look forward to hearing form you. There was a Joshua Wade, RS from Bedford Co., VA, whose son Rev. John Wade, a Methodist Minister as was his father died Elbert Co., GA. The latter had a son, James A. Wade b 1824, as my ancestor was, but I can't connect. Look forward to hearing from you when you can. W. Ray Walker Notify Administrator about this message?
