This is my 4th great-grandfather, and I am looking for more information about him. Some specific questions: does a portrait of him still exist--and where is it? Where is his wife, Mary, buried? Any their any photographs of his home, the "Wade Mansion," which stood until at least 1847?
Also looking for information about his son, Melancthon Smith Wade, who was a general in the Civil War and from whom I descended. Any info on his line is much appreciated.
