I am a McClendon family researcher, but I have found assembled these records for Charles D. Wade and his wife, Mary "Polly" McClendon:
Charles D. Wade, b. abt 1791, d. aft 1877, prob in Shelby Co., Tennessee, m. abt 1833 in Flynns Lick, Jackson Co., TN. to Mary "Polly" McClendon, b. abt 1815 in Flynns Lick, Jackson Co., TN., d. aft 1877, prob in Shelby Co., TN.
This Charles D. and wife Mary Wade can be found in the following U. S. Census years:
1840 District 15, Jackson Co., TN
1850 District 8, Weakley Co., TN. (surname spelled "Waid" in this census)
1860 Morgan, Dade Co., Missouri.
1870 District 11, Shelby Co., TN.
This couple had the following children:
1. Jesse Wade, b. abt 1836, prob. in Jackson Co., TN.
2. Sydney Wade, b. abt 1837, prob in Jackson Co., TN.
3. Alexander Wade, b. abt 1839, prob in Jackson Co., TN.
4. Charles Wade, b. abt 1841, prob in Jackson Co., TN.
5. Jasper Wade, b. abt 1843 in TN (or Arkansas).
6. Newton Wade, b. abt 1843 in TN (or Arkansas).
7. Susan Wade, b. abt 1845 in TN.
I also found a military record:
War of 1812, Charles D. Wade, Capt. Bradshaw's Company, North Carolina Militia, Rank - Private.
It is possible that this Charles D. Wade had a 1st wife before Mary McClendon, as I found this record:
North Carolina Marriage Bond, Bride: Dready Sargent, Groom: Charles D. Wade, Bond Date: 18 Apr 1816, County: Caswell, Record #01320, Bondsman: Nathanial Torian, Witness: Isaac Rainey, Bond #000018807.
This first marriage would explain a James Wade, b. abt 1824, who appears in the household of Charles and Mary Wade in one of the census years.
Mary "Polly" Wade is the daughter of Jesse McClendon, b. abt 1769 NC, d. 10 May 1850 in Flynns Lick, Jackson Co., TN., m. Susannah White, b. abt 1777 in NC., d. 1871 in Jackson Co., TN.
Mary McClendon is the sister of my ancestor, Henry Harold McClendon, b. 8 Jun 1813 in Flynns Lick, Jackson Co., TN., d. 6 Jan 1884 in Dodd City, Fannin Co., Texas.
