Joyce -

You have been looking for a while...
I don't have anything on your family. Perhaps you can trace through Robert Fitzhugh Wade's wife Prudence Araminta Boyd, b 18 Oct 1826 Newbury, SC. 10 Oct 10, 1910 Claiborne. La. married 7 Sept 1845. I know that Robert was said to have died in Natchitoches, LA - perhaps that is in the Claiborne Parish. The only info I saw was in ancestry.com - and not much there. I suppose you found him in the census records, at least in 1850.

My Wade ancestor married into my maternal Gilbert family. My James A. Wade was married in Greene Co., GA, which is the general area that many came in and spred out. I think James is a descendant of Edward Wade of VA, a Revol War veteran who died in Greene Co., GA. Sorry, I can't connect you as the Wade's that I follow in GA seemed to be chasing occupations as opposed to others who were after land grants. Some of my Gilbert relatives went to Claiborne Parish also the first part of the 1800's.
