Seeking information on ancestors and descendants of Elizabeth Wade and Nathaniel Scott who were m. 19 Dec. 1811 by Wm. Barnes in Wayne Co., KY. Consent was granted by Wm. Ward whom I presume was Elizabeth's step-father? The bond was provided by Wm. Herriford; was he related to the couple? The name Nathaniel is prominent in the family of William Scott, b. 1755 who was a resident of Wayne Co. at this time; however there was also a John Scott in Wayne at this time who had children of marriageable age. Which Scott man was the father of Nathaniel?
