Bruce, We are related to Wiley Isaac Wade who died in Greene County, MS in 1970. Wiley was the son of Allen Wade of Greene County, who had moved there from Conecuh County. In MS census records his name is "Allen." But in Conecuh Co. records, there is an "Alen" who was a son of Williams A. Wade (and wife Martha). The Alen of Conecuh Co. was b. in 1868. The Allen of MS was born at about that same time, so I think they are the same people, because I cannot find where "Alen" Wade of Conecuh Co. was still in Conecuh Co. in 1900 (that is why I think he moved to South MS and he is indeed in the Greene Co. census in 1900). "Alen" of Conecuh Co. was age 12 in the 1880 census. Then, in 1900 I think he was not listed in that Co. Williams was b. 1837. What do you know about "Alen" ?
