The handwriting was poor in the above " 1850 census of Talbot Co., shows household # 759, Washington Wade 45; Frances 45;...etc"
I looked at the site again, and Washington and Frances (Cockrum) Wade were both 25 years old, which makes more sense.
Still unsure of connection to my James A. Wade.
One source has Hamlin L., named as Hamlin Lewis m to Sybil Parker b 1806 d 1846 and has him dying in GA in 1859. If he lived past the 1850 census, why wasn't he listed in the census?
