Loraine, only that sources in ancestry.com state that Hamlin L. Wade was son of William L, by Benjamin Wade's first wife. Benjamin d 1824, & William 1827, both in Jasper Co., GA.

Benjamin's 2nd wife was in Jasper co., GA in the 1830 census. Haven't tried to identify her yet in
the 1840 census.

1830 census from my Notes for Elizabeth L. (?) Wade: "...1830 Census of Jasper Co., GA: PAGE 383 A & B 38th Regiment and One Company 30th Regiment Georgia Militia Jasper County WADE, Elizabeth L.; 1 male 1-15; 1 female under 5; 1 female 5-10; 1 female 50-60 (b bet 1870-1880). The young male would have been Washington Wade until proven otherwise...."
