Since I can't put all my info on my Tree yet fully, I have to be more careful. Re: 1840 census: Actually, I think the child with Elizabeth L 5-15 could have been Washington, but Elizabeth L. & Benjamin in this second marriage had two sons, James Y, & Benjamin, which has to be checked in Jasper Co., Ga to get a handle on their possible age. It is more likely that it was one of them. However, one would wonder how Elizabeth got with Washington in the 1850 census of Talbot Co., GA, if not an additional son. I think the estate settlement for Benjamin would show that Washington was not Benjamin/Elizabeth's son. If would be with her because his father William L. had died in 1727 in Jasper Co., GA; in such case Elizabeth would be his step grandmother. Except for the latter I would think that James and Washington were sons of Benjamin & Elizabeth L. I hope that we can find the children James & Benjamin by Benjamin/Elizabeth. I'm guessing that they were born before 1815 or so. Susan was born abt. 1808. Ray Notify Administrator about this message?
