Don't know if there is a connection, but there is a Richmond Co., GA will dated 1787 for John Wade, mentions only a son Benjamin and a daughter Rachel.

Georgia Archives Reel 48/72 - Richmond Co. Will Book 1 - page 85-86
John Wade of Richmond Co., Carpenter; only names son Benjamin, and daughter Rachel Wade as sole Executrix. Signed with his mark, a / crossed by 3 diagonals. Witnessed by Valentine Hatcher, Thomas Thadwick, and Hugh Rogers.
Dated 6 Dec 1786 - Proved 31 March 1787
