Loraine, I agree this is a lead. I started to write you several days ago as to whether a name other than James or John might fit. Joshua A. info came up somewhere, and I wanted to look into him when I had time- at least to see if he was another brother of our James A. Wade I think he died fairly young. Joshua needs to be documented. To look at sons of the 4 men that I believe are brothers: 1. James A, sons: John Cyrus 12 Feb 1846 (named after f-i-law John Thompson); James b abt. 1855; William b Abt. 1864; & Robert H. L. b Nov 1867. 2. William Franklin, son John Henry b Feb 1847. 3. Columbus Washington, sons James M. b abt. 1853; Thomas b abt. 1854; & John b abt. 1856 4. I've added him because he fits;in AL census records: Hamlin Louis Wade, overseer, b abt 1815 or 1825 GA m Mary; sons William b 1839; James b 1841. We know that their father would not be named William, because his brother was named William Louis Wade. However, we should also look for a John, James, perhaps Thomas & Henry. There is also the Thomas Waid, that could be connected somewhere. Haven't been able to find as much as I expected on-line in the GA counties. Anyway, Sara & I are going to the Beach early tomorrow, returning Sunday. Please keep me posted on any ideas, as I just about followed all of mine, until we can get into the county records in Jasper, Franklin,Carroll, & Coweta & perhaps Clarke counties. I suppose the county formations need further analysis. Good hunting. W. Ray Walker Notify Administrator about this message?
