This "note" from the librarian confirms that our Edward Wade born 1611 was the son of Edward Wade of Brampton, Northamptonshire, England. And not the son of William Wade as stated so many times on the internet. However, he very well could have been the grandson of William Wade and Anne Waller.

"Wade, Edward, s[on of] Edward, of Brampton, Northants [Northamptonshire], sacerd (priest], CHRIST CHURCH matric [joined Christ Church College] 4 May 1627 aged 16. B.A. from Brasenose Coll[ege] 3 July 1628; M.A. from CHRIST CHURCH 30 April 1631; vicar of Guilsborough, Northants, 1644."
