I recently saw an index for Wade in the 1840 Census in Russell Co. AL. I have not had a chance to track this census down. There is a marriage license in Russell Co. for 1838 for one Mary Wade, m. William Young. THen, in 1847, in Russell Co. AL a marriage license for Christina Wade m. Zachariah Blackman. This is 2 of at least 3 daughters of the Mr. Wade I am pursuing. (I went to see the marriage license looking for HIS name, but to no avail). Now these families are in Coffee Co. AL by the 1850's. One Nancy Wade, the mother of these young ladies buys land there 1858. Now - to find the missing pieces. I would love to tie them to your Wades (or any established Wades, for that matter). My next pursuit is focused on Russell Co, AL until (a will? a land purchase?) to hopefully at least tie down a name. Possibly he went on to Southern AL - Coffee Co or therabouts with these married daughters, but I run into a burned courthouse in Coffee. Does this additional info shake loose a clue to tie some of these Wades together? Can you 'flesh out' Issac anymore? wife? Wife's sisters? Yes, you can see I'm rather desparate for info on this line!
