Attn Margaret Winters & Charlie McCutchen, Margaret, one of the problems with software for documenting families is that one can't sort on where people lived. See how Hamlin Louis/Lewis Wade b 1802 fits into these Wade's in the chart below. The Nancy Wade was the 2nd wife, (Nancy) Elizabeth Pierce/Pearce, of Hamlin Louis Wade b 1802 SC or GA d abt 1851 AL. The Wade females with her would be step-daughters b in Talbot Co., GA by Hamlin & his first wife, Sibbie Parker. I had names unknown for 4 daughters b abt. 1827, 1827, 1829 & one b 1835-1840 -all by this first wife until your posting gave me 3 of the daughters name. Hamlin Louis b 1802 SC or GA d Abt. 1854 in Russell Co., AL. He was an "overseer," as was his brother James, my ancestor. Hamilin m 1st wife 18 Apr 1824 Hancock Co., GA, Sibbie Parker b 1806 (dau of Wm) & d 1846 Talbot Co., GA. They had 8 children: Mary b abt 1826; Christina b abt 1827; Martha b abt 1829; Hamlin Lewis b abt. 1835; (female) b 1835-40; Robert Augustus b 1836; Milo Parker b 1839; Sarah E. V. b 1842. The first four were born in Hancock or Monroe Co., GA. The last 5 were b in Talbot Co., GA, as Hamlin was established in that county in 1836 in the militia. Hamlin m 2nd wife on 3 Oct 1848 Barbour Co., AL,(Nancy) Elizabeth Pierce/Pearce b 1815 prob GA d Mar 1859 Russell Co., AL. They had two children Thomas Elijah Wade b abt. 1850 AL, & Hamlin Pearce Wade b abt. 1854 AL. I can not find Hamlin & his wife Nancy Elizabeth in the GA or AL census. Note however that Hamlin's nephew, son of James (my ancestor) named Hamlin L. b abt 1815 is in the Barbour Co., AL census with his wife Mary and two children. Also note the following for excerpt from Hamlin b 1802's Notes: "...The 1860 census for Russell Co., AL #234 lists Milo, and his sister Sarah, and his brother Lewis, and 1/2 brothers Thomas, and Hamlin: Milo 21, day laborer, GA, $300; Sarah 18,house keeper, GA; Lewis 15 GA; Thomas 10, AL, Hamlin Wade 6, AL...." Please tell me again about Isaac Wade. Also, if I had it I can't find the info about the deed in 1858 for Nancy - do you have the female step daughters' name in that transaction or more info on that transaction? Had wondered if it could be part of an inheritence. 1 [4] Benjamin Wade 1750 VA d 1824 Jasper Co.GA .. +? Hamlin 1761 - 1802 ... 2 William L. Wade 1775 -Nov.1827 Jasper Co., GA ....... +Sarah P.
