I was on my way to Atlanta last wek and stopped off in the Darlington, SC library. I scanned the 1920 census for Darlington county and found lot's of Wadford's and even more Watford's. I checked the current phone book and most of the Wadford's had moved on but there were a large number of Watford's there. They didn't have the Soundex microfilm there and I needed to be in Atlanta before dark(bad eyes, lots of traffic) so I was limited in my scanning.
The enumerator had horrible handwriting so I'm guessing on some of these names. Wadford Heads of House names I saw from 1920 were 39 y/o LeWade(sp?),47 y/o Dock, 60 y/o Moses,37 y/o Lucas, and 40 y/o J.C.
I would love to hear from SC linked Wadford's either in this forum or personally FAYETTEBILL@msn.com
