Hi Mona,
The William Otha Wadford that I believe you are referring to was my father as well.
He was born to Lee Issac Thomas Wadford and Vela Mae Spain Roberts on June 17, 1937.
He did serve in the Coast Guard and mentioned family in Maine. Unfortunately, he died July 22, 2007.
He still has siblings in Georgia that I'm in the process of tracking down.
