Your second John Wofford with his 1808 will certainly describes John Wofford, one of the 5 Brothers of Spartanburg.

While he may have written his will in 1808, the Andrea manuscript says he didn't die until 1812, and in Huntsville, AL. His will was probated, however, in 1813 in Spartanburg because he still owned land there.

As for the son John of John of Rockingham versus the son John of John, one of the 5 Brothers... my notes make their birthdates a toss-up. Son John of John of Rockingham seems to be better documented with land deals and tax records (he died in Stewart Cy, TN). The other son John is less well documented, ie, Zelma Price.

Fred
