Yes, Albert was married to Ann Munger. We have pictures of Ann and Albert but not the generation before (Hector). Some of the Mungers were also in the Civil War. I believe it was Ann's brother that reputedly was in the division that captured Jefferson Davis. So that's what happened to Sophie.
My father has a complete geneology book that my sister prepared for him. However, he is elderly and I am not sure that he is willing to share this. I would suggest going to the Mormon church resources where all of the same information is available.
I can tell you what I know and I will be returning to Michigan for my annual visit so can check some details. One nephew keeps Albert's Civil War sword and pistol. I usually go over to the pioneer cemetery while there and check Hector and Albert and other family graves. I believe Hector was married to a Sophie....which may explain the name.
The family in Michigan are all (still) farmers, quite successful. The home Albert built is still in Schoolcraft, a large square Victorian (it even had a ballroom for parties for all of his children) but the family sold that land some time ago. The people who bought the house still ask us for history.
