Further research has resulted in the information that the Wealthy Wagar buried in this graveyard was born Wealthy SHAW and she was the wife of Orris B. Wagar.Orris was the eldest of eight children born to Abraham and Hannah (WASHBURN) Wager. Abraham was the eldest of eleven children born to Eberhard "Ephraim" and Cornelia (FRANCISCO) Wager.
As for Springdale, the current Michigan Atlas & Gazetteer does not list it. However, there is a compendium of historic Michigan place names in the reference section of our local library. I will have to check that to see if there was once a Springdale, Michigan and if so, where it was located.
I am related to the Francisco family. In Ontario Co., NY, Cornelia, Olive and Sally, the three eldest of the ten children born to Abraham Francisco and Hester VAN DER COOK, married Wagar/Wager men. Between them, they bore 25 children carrying the Wagar/Wager surname. I am attempting to follow those. Strictly speaking, these people are collateral to my own line. However, as there was so much intermarriage, many multiple and often very complicated relationships exist between members of the VanDerCook, Francisco and Wagar families. My fourth great grandfather, Henry VanDerCook, was a brother to Hester VanDerCook. Henry's wife, Anna Francisco, was a sister to Abraham. Additionally, Levi Francisco, brother to Abraham and Anna, married 1. Sarah VanDerCook, sister to Hester and Henry. (His second wife was CHrity CAROENTER.) To further complcate things, these three sets of marital partners were also first cousins once removed to each other. Three grandchildren of Hendrick and Laventje (VanDerCook) Francisco married three children of Laventje's younger brother, Michael VanDerCook and his wife, Cornelia VAN NESS. (The parents of Abraham, Anna and Levi were Johannis and Aeltje DOREMUS Francisco.)
