Seeking information about Mary Walden, daughter of Albert

I am searching for information about my great-grandfather, Albert Walden. My goal is to find what happened to Albert after 1880, and also to prove that he is the son of Jesse Walden, of McLean County, IL. In order to do this I am seeking information on Albert's daughter, Mary Walden, who married Frank Hoover. I hope that her descendants might have information about Albert.

I want to prove that Mary Walden 's father is the same Albert Walden who is listed as one of the sons of Jesse Walden, of McLean County, Illinois. The family of Jesse Walden is nicely documented in a book "The Good Old Times in McLean County", written about 1874. Considering the location at the time the book was written of Jesse's son Albert and my Albert in 1880, just a few miles away, it seems to me highly likely that they were the same person.

There is one other Albert Walden of the same age as my Albert, who lived in Coles County, IL, at the same time, but who was not Jesse's son. While I believe that Jesse was my Albert's father, I think only either a paper trail or Y-chromosome DNA matching techniques would prove it. So, I need to find a male-line descendant of Jesse who is willing to cooperate in DNA matching, or perhaps anyone among Albert's descendants who has more accurate information than I do.

My grandfather, Asbury Walden, had two daughters, and I am his sole descendant. He couldn't even write his own name, and left no information.

Great Uncle Eddie, born about 1878, has male descendants, and several other descendants, but some have no more information than I do, others are unwilling to communicate with me, and I suspect that they have no "paper trail" documentation, either.

The only information I have regarding Mary is:
In the 1880 McLean County, IL, Federal Census reports that she was born about 1879.
Brief mention in her brother Dide's 1924 obit that she lived in Coffeyville, KS, as Mrs. Mary Hoover.
Brief mention in her brother Asbury's 1933 obit that she lived in Blackwell, Oklahoma as Mrs. Frank
Hoover.

A list of what I know about Albert's family:
He lived in Anchor Township, McLean County, in 1880.
He was born ca 1853
His wife was Eliann (nee Wilkinson), born in North Carolina ca 1852
Son William, born 1872, in McLean County, IL, died Dec 25, 1939.
Daughter Rose E, born ca 1875, in McLean County, IL
Son Asbury, born ca 1877, in McLean County, IL, died April 16, 1933
Son Dide, born March 2, 1887, in McLean County, IL, died Jan 16, 1924
Son Eddie, born ca 1878, in McLean County, IL
Daughter Mary J, born ca 1879, in McLean County, IL

The obituaries of William, Asbury, and Dide yield no information about Albert.
