Hi Patsy,
Unfortunately I've not been able to discover much about my Adams lineage but I'm happy to share what little I have. I'm age 65, born in Columbia, Alabama, currently residing in Columbus, Georgia. My grandfather was John Wesley Adams, Sr, born 1880 in Jackson County, Florida (near Alabama). He married Erin Youngblood (granddaughter of John Walding, one of Dale County's earliest settlers). Their children were Gipsey Mae Adams (1908-1924), John Henry Adams (1912-1935), William Wesley Adams (1918-1996), John Wesley Adams, Jr. (1920-1988) and Doris Merline Adams (1924-1992).
John Wesley Adams, Sr. was a son of Randolph and Arrinda Maryann Chandler Adams. Other children of Randolph and Maryann were Ida Adams Haborn (1873-1956), Asberry Adams (1874-?), Della Adams Williams (1876-1976), Thomas G. Adams (1876-?), Oscar Adams (1877-?), Mandie Adams (1888-?) and Jesse Cleveland Adams (1892-1964).
Most were born and reared in southeast Alabama. John Wesley Adams, Sr. moved his family to Columbus, Georgia about 1924 and died there in 1927. My dad told of his father (John Sr.) regularly walking the railroad track from Columbus to Phenix City to visit a relative. I have not been able to learn who the relative was. It doesn't appear that my Adams family connects with yours, but they obviously were in the same geographical area. If I can help further, let me know.
Jim
