HI Cousin,
I'm not surprised!! Loren Miles in 1844 was living at Elba, N.Y., unmarried,. He was a soldier in the Civil War and was not heard of in Elba afterwards, but is thought by some to have been living in Michigan in 1885. His father was Nathan son of Nathan son of Jesse, son of Shubael, son of Edward, son of John, son of Cornelius son of Thomas.
Nathan was born Feb. 11, 1789, at Whitesboro, N.Y. died Oct 14, 1830 in Virginia. He lived in the South. He married (1) Miss Buck. He married (2) in Virginia or Maryland, Sarah Joslyn who died in Berrien Cty., Mich..
Children of Nathan and Miss Buck:
Sarah Ann died at Elba, N.Y. 2 days after the birth of her only child, who died at birth.
b. Nathan Towner. In 1844 he was living in Elba, NY He entered the US Army as a private and died in the West after the Mexican War...he never married.
C. Loren Miles..
anything else you need just let me know.
Victor Edward Waldo (Tulsa, Oklahoma)
